The results are in! Winslow Show celebrated another bumper year of fundraising on behalf of local charities in Winslow and surrounding villages. This year's Show raised £14,000 which will be distributed to local good causes.

The popular Show was again awash with visitors who greatly enjoyed the Horse-jumping and gymkhana, sheep displays, children’s entertainment, dog shows, craft tent and stalls. This year’s Tug of War, won by Winslow Rugby Club, was a very popular attraction and pulled in a huge crowd. As did the traditional Punch and Judy shows, craft tent and Great Horwood Silver Band.

The fancy dress parade of children was won by James and Issy Salt and Tom and Jenny Pearson dressed as Little Bo Peep and sheep; Ella and Donni PaPa and Georgiou and Albert Weston dressed as Old Macdonald and his farm animals; Page and Sophie Ashby Clark dressed as Mary Mary Quite Contrary; Noah and Maisie Kingham as Jack and Jill and Jake Gordon dress as The Gruffalo.

Winners of the sheep display classes – included G.E Hayes and Son who were awarded Reserve Champion Pen for a ‘Pair of Theaves’ and A.E.J and F.J Claridge were awarded Champion Pen for their 4 Butchers lambs. In the Hay and Grain classes first prize was awarded to N.F. Hodges & Son.

Dean White, chairman of Winslow Show Association, said: “This year’s show was another roaring success. As well as providing a fantastic day out for the local community all the funds raised will be distributed to local charities. It takes a great amount of time and effort to ensure this event happens each year and our wholehearted thanks go to the volunteers from Winslow Lions Club, Winslow Rotary Club, the Scouts and Winslow and Edgcott Young Farmers.”
