About the Winslow Show
The Winslow Show has been a local agricultural show since the 19th century. Historically held against the backdrop of Winslow Hall; it has closed just twice in the last 100 years!
Today the Winslow Show is a 21st century fun-filled and thriving gymkhana, agricultural show with craft stands, entertainment, a horse show, dog show, livestock and more. Attended by 1000's of people every year, the Winslow Show is a great day out for the whole family.
Self supporting; the Winslow Show is about fun and giving something back to the local community by donating thousands of pounds of show proceeds each year to 40 plus mainly local charities.
The Winslow Show Association committee plans the Show on a continuing basis. The Show committee is supported by volunteers from other local organisations e.g. the Lions Club of Winslow, Winslow Townshhip Rotary Club, Edgcott & Winslow Young Farmers Club and the Scouts, plus donations from our sponsors. Thanks are also due to Mr Christopher Gilmour and the Brazier family for the use of the show field.
The committee is made up entirely of volunteers from all walks of life bringing a wide and varied experience to the Show, together with strong support from the Lions Club of Winslow, Winslow Townshhip Rotary Club, Edgcott & Winslow Young Farmers Club, the Scouts and other local organisations.
Many skills are required including administrative and operational skills. Everyone involved offers their time freely for what is a philanthropic event for the benefit of the local residents and deserving local causes and charities.
