Winslow Show - Set For Success 2009
July 6, 2009
August Bank Holiday - Monday 31st August 2009
Home Close, Winslow, Buckinghamshire
Local charities, businesses, volunteers and the Winslow Show Association committee are again gearing up for this year’s Winslow Show on August Bank Holiday.
Winslow Show is one Buckingham’s premier country shows and will take place on Monday 31st August 2009, between 9.00am and 5.00pm at Home Close in Winslow.
The show offers a variety of family entertainments, traditional equestrian and agricultural competitions, a variety of stalls and a craft marquee. In the main competition rings there will be a gymkhana, show jumping, a procession of vintage and classic cars plus sheep and grain competitions, the dog show, children’s fairground rides and refreshments.
There are plenty of competitions to enter, including the ‘waggiest tail’ dog competition or entering a team in the Young Farmers’ tug of war. If you’re feeling creative join in the fancy dress parade. No matter what your age you can always add a little colour to the parade.
With a BBQ, pig roast, home-made cakes and goodies and a beer tent, the day is set for success with all members of your family.
All money raised from the show will be donated to local charities so come along, have some fun and support your local community.
