Don't miss out
on Winslow's festive celebration of summer this August Bank Holiday Monday. Winslow Show is one of Buckingham’s premier
country shows and will take place on Monday 25th August 2008,
between 9.00am and 5.00pm at Home Close in Winslow.
Enjoy plants
and home-baked treats, spruce up your pooch for the dog show, help raise funds
for charity through a tombola, enjoy a little retail therapy at the craft tent
or simply catch up with old friends.
This year the
Winslow Show will bring the town and farming communities together for a fun day
of dog shows, a gymkhana, show jumping, procession of vintage and classic cars,
children’s rides and traditional entertainment.
There are
plenty of competitions to enter, including the ‘waggiest tail’ dog competition
or entering a team in the Young Farmers’ tug of war. If you’re feeling creative
join in the fancy dress parade. No matter what your age you can always add a
little colour to the parade.
Alternatively,
enjoy the BBQ, beer tent and a whole range of refreshments provided local
businesses and charities.
All proceeds
from the Winslow Show are ploughed back into local charities so come along and
have some fun.
