All horses and ponies are to be fully vaccinated against the flu virus within the last 6 months. Passports will be required when you collect your number.
All showing classes will be limited to 12 entries with no exceptions.
Winslow Show entry £3/adult £1/child. Class fees are £8 a class pre-entry (must be rec’d by 20/08/19) and £10 a class on the day if the class is not full.
RING ONE – Morning Showing (9am prompt)
CLASS 1 – First Ridden

CLASS 2 – Family Pony
Open to Mares & Geldings who are suitable for any member of the family and to be ridden by TWO family members. Kindly sponsored by ASC Financial
CLASS 3 – Ridden Rescue Pony
Open to Rescue Horses & Ponies from all charities and equine rescue organisations. Judge will ask for some background information. Scars and blemishes will NOT be taken into account. Kindly sponsored by ASC Financial
CLASS 4 – Handsome Gelding
Open to all Geldings, who may be presented ridden or in-hand. Kindly sponsored by Hollingdon Grange Equestrian
CLASS 5 – Prettiest Mare

CLASS 6 – Fancy Dress

Wing Group Riding for the Disabled Demonstration (RDA)
A demonstration of a typical lesson to show how riding benefits children from special schools who come for free weekly sessions. Two children will be standing in for regular riders, but all helpers in the ring and those explaining the benefits of riding are from the group’s dedicated volunteers.

Special Awards throughout the day:
Judges Choice – Each judge will have a finalist rosette which they can award to a combination who they feel deserve recognition – this may not be a winning combination, but rather those who are really enjoying themselves and getting into the spirit of the show, or who have overcome difficulties or shown improvement. Oldest Placed Veteran – In both the In Hand and Ridden Veteran Classes a sash will be awarded to the OLDEST placed horse. Kindly sponsored by Terrys of Swanbourne
Horse Show Rules
- In all mounted events, all riders shall wear hats in accordance with current safety requirements, in good condition and correctly fitted.
- Proper footwear must be worn in all classes.
- Galloping or cantering will not be permitted outside the rings.
- Any competitor who falls off in any ring will be eliminated.
- Excessive use of whips and/or spurs will result in elimination.
- No horse under 4 years old may be ridden on the showground.
- Stallions and Colts are to be bitted on the showground and handled or ridden by someone of 14 years or over.
- In consideration to our Landlords, please take your litter home.
- Competitors shall conduct themselves in a responsible manner at all times.
- Any official of the Horse Show shall have the right to caution a competitor as to his/her behaviour.
- Any competitor who by word or act is abusive or discourteous to a judge/Horse Show official may be asked to leave the Showground.
- Late entry to a ring will not be permitted once judging has started.
- Competitors ride and handle horses at their own risk.
- The organisers, committee and horse show officials are not responsible for any injury, to any participant, spectator, or horse, or for any loss or damage of any vehicle, trailer, box or equipment brought onto the showground.
