The 2024 Winslow Show raised a magnificent £25,000 from over 5,000 visitors who had a fantastic day of family fun.

With a wide variety of traditional entertainment, thousands of people flocked to this quintessentially country show, to enjoy the much-loved pedigree and novelty dog show; the vintage and classic vehicle display an array of local artisans in the crafts marquee, children’s funfair, sheep displays and a wide variety of stalls selling produce or providing traditional fete games. This year’s Show featured a variety of ‘feelgood’ live music, including folk music, easy listening classics and rounded off with some pirate and sea shanties.

The money raised at the August Bank Holiday will be donated to over 40 local charities and good causes that provide essential services and support to those in need in Winslow, Buckingham and surrounding villages. These charities include: Age UK Bucks; Florence Nightingale Hospice; Winslow CofE School; Swan House; Winslow Food Cupboard; Furze Down School, Parkinsons UK – Aylesbury, and many more local, deserving organisations.

Commenting on the success of this year’s Winslow Show, Dean White, chair of the Winslow Show Association, said: “Winslow Show is the highlight of the town’s community events, it’s a Show packed-full of charming family entertainment, an opportunity to meet friends and neighbours and to celebrate both the town and surrounding countryside and the people who live here. We depend on the support of many volunteers and are extremely proud that working together we’ve raised over £25,000 for essential charities and good causes in our community. Our heartfelt thanks go to our wonderful volunteers, including Edgcott & Winslow Young Farmers, Winslow Lions Club; Winslow Rotary Club; Buckingham & Winslow District Scouts.”
